For 15 years, the Center for Educational Justice based in the University of Redlands School of Education has been a leader in research, scholarship, and collaboration seeking educational equity for students from kindergarten through college. To advance these efforts and this important conversation, the Center will again host its Summer Institute on Leadership for Educational Justice, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9 at the main Redlands campus.
The keynote message, “Students Deserve Humanization Instead of Just Social and Emotional Learning: A Theoretical, Psychological, and Pedagogical Perspective,” will be presented by Patrick Camangian, Ph.D., department chair of teacher education at the University of San Francisco School of Education, who is nationally recognized for his interdisciplinary scholarship on humanizing education.
